She was born in 1971. Post-Doctorate in Arts Education, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto (FBAUP, 2015). PhD in Fine Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Salamanca (2000). Degree in Fine Arts-Sculpture by FBAUP (1994).
Coordinating Professor at the Higher School of Education of Paula Frassinetti in the area of Artistic Education. Adjunct Professor invited at the Higher School of Education of Coimbra in the Courses of Art and Design and Multimedia, Design and Communication from 2017 to 2020. Researcher at the Institute of Research in Art, Design and Society of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto. Researcher at the Centre for Research in Human Development, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Fine Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. Author of several publications (including tree books) in Arts Education, Contemporary Art, Illustration and Fine Arts. He was a Jury Member of the X Biennial International Art Biennial of Vila Nova de Cerveira, 1999. As a plastic artist she participated in several collective and individual exhibitions at Portugal and abroad.
